Another Last

ANOTHER LAST

The love I thought would never cease

and never would it die

now is just a memory

wipe teardrops from my eye.

Distantly I say hello

you raise your arm and weakly wave

another memory for my book

another "last" to save.

I can't believe just how foolish

both of us can be

but anyway, you left again

your turned and walked from me.

Apart was just a place we went

but never very long

but once again you left me here

it seems forever you've been gone.

I still don't think we had the chance

to talk our problems through

it's been 3 weeks, plus 1 day more

I've wanted back with you.

I sit here every day, depressed

the memories make me cry

I still do not understand

why you said goodbye.

So once again, the same day came

you shot a look - I swear could kill

right away, I knew why

you'd no longer be there still.
