So many people in our lives

just do not stay

I cannot wait til you come back

from where you ran away.

It's not often that I find

a friend I hold so true

I must say I've never met

another one like you.

Never did you make me cry

you always made me smile

I cannot wait til you come back

it sure has been a while.

I know that you had to go

searching for your peace

but I know that my friend

our friendship will not cease.

I miss our talks that we had

almost every day

never did we run out 

of anything to say.
