I don't know why I'm holding on

I don't know why I try

I don't know why I care so much

that you said good-bye.

I planned on just forgetting you

and making you my past

but time with us really flew

you came and left so fast.

I don't know how to deal with it

or how to let you go

but basically you are gone

this I surely know.

It hurt a little when you left

but I knew you wouldn't stay

but now the hurt is hitting me

I don't know what to say.
