I Won't Forget You
I WON'T FORGET YOU
I lay in bed
awake no sleep
my eyes are filled
with tears and weep.
I close my eyes
and try to drift
but I can't
my eyelids lift.
When I waken
still to see
me without you
you without me.
Filled with memories
I stay awake
deciding which steps
I'm going to take.
The loss of a loved one
isn't a joke
it leaves a heart
beaten and broke.
