A FRIEND

A friend's a friend forever

to last your whole life through

and every time you turn around

they find the time for you.

A friend will love you always

as that and nothing more

to me a friend is everything

that we had before.

Our friendship wasn't special

at all in any way

but it was a whole lot better

than what we have today.

I know we weren't the best

but something was there

now we sit and act

as though we shouldn't' care.

I know that you don't like me

but why should we end

all of this's been blown too far
