You'll Never Be

YOU'LL NEVER BE

All the years

I had pain

still my past

drives me insane.

You weren't here

to see me hurt

you know so little

but think I'm dirt.

So many nights

I lie awake

thinking of

my life at stake.

In a hospital

where days are long

they taught me that

I do belong.

Invaded of

what was mine

my perfect life

no longer fine.

So many drugs

and doctors too

healing hurt

is what they do.

You think you know

who I am

but truly you

don't give a damn.

A cold dark night

filled with fear

I couldn't even

shed a tear.

Now you're here

judging me

because I'm all

you'll never be.
